Castle Fogarty is located near Thurles, North Tipperary, Ireland. It dates back to sometime in the 17th century when it was the seat of the O'Fogarty clan. The castle is mainly in a ruined state with one tower having been rebuilt after a devastating fire in 1922. The O'Fogartys from Castle Fogarty died out and ownership was passed on to the Lanigan family and then likewise to the Ryan family who are the current owners.
